Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area

metcalf bottoms picnic area

The Metcalf Bottoms picnic area is on Little River Road halfway between Sugarlands Visitor Center and Townsend, TN. Select tables and bbq grills are situated along the river. All picnic spots have grills for barbecuing. A number of spots are handicapped accessible.

This picnic area has bbq grills, potable water and restroom facilities with flush toilets. There is a Picnic Pavilion that can accommodate up to 70 guests. The pavilion has a covered eating area and several grills. The pavilion may be reserved for a morning or evening block, so visitors who wish to use the area for a full day should reserve both time slots.

Metcalf Bottoms is a popular area for tubing; great family fun!
